How many people fit, and where does everyone sleep?
Six sleep in beds: one bedroom per couple, each with its own full bath. The sofa bed on the first floor takes it to eight without squeezing anyone. To reach twelve the house keeps two queen air mattresses that guests inflate and place wherever it suits them, usually one in the living room and one on the upstairs landing.
Does it cost more if we are more than six?
Yes. The rate is built for six. From the seventh guest onward, $737 MXN per person per night is added, and it is itemised in the quote before you book. If you are fewer than six the price drops: there is a reduced-occupancy discount.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, with an additional cleaning fee of $3,500 MXN. This is a house that welcomes pets, not one that puts up with them. What the fee does not cover is damage or special treatment — cleaning a stained sofa, for instance — which is billed separately.
Can the pet get on the beds or into the pool?
No. Those are the only two restrictions and they are not negotiable: no beds, no pool. Everywhere else in the house the pet roams free.
Can we smoke?
On balconies, the terrace and open areas, yes. Inside the house, no. If indoor smoking is detected a charge of up to $5,000 MXN applies — the cost of cleaning everything that holds odour, furniture included. A cigarette burn on a piece of furniture is covered at the value of that piece.
Can I throw a party or host an event?
Yes, but with prior written authorisation and an agreed maximum number of attendees, settled before the stay. Without that authorisation the house is not used for events, and if neighbours report noise the host may end the stay immediately.
Do you take a security deposit?
Yes, 25% of the reservation total. It is released when the stay ends and the house has been checked. It is not a charge: it is a deposit.
How do cancellations work?
The scale runs from 100% to 0% depending on how close arrival is: 100% less the 4.5% processing cost within the first 48 hours, 75% up to a month before, 50% up to two weeks before, 25% up to one week before, and non-refundable in the final seven days, because the calendar was held for you. What if I cancel for something outside my control?
Write to us and tell us what happened. This house is run by people, and we look at every force-majeure case on its own merits; we can go beyond the scale where it can be documented. We are not looking to profit from something you did not choose.
Is cleaning charged separately?
There is a single fee of $1,850 MXN per stay, however many nights you stay, and it appears in the quote before you pay. Nothing shows up on arrival.
What time can I arrive, and when do I have to leave?
Arrival from 3 PM and departure by 12 PM. If the next day's calendar allows it, a late departure is arranged with us and confirmed the day before.
Is there somewhere to park?
Yes — a private two-car garage with a remote opener, at street level. You do not depend on the street or on a public lot.
Are the bikes and the jeep included?
The four mountain bikes are, on every stay, and they live on their rack inside the garage. The classic four-seat jeep is booked separately today and carries a cost; from May 2027 it comes included with the stay.
How do I pay, and how do I know I am paying you?
The reservation is paid in full when you confirm it. You can pay right here with Stripe, or ask us on WhatsApp for that same link or for transfer details. WhatsApp is an official channel of the house: before transferring, confirm two things — that you are writing to the number published on this page, +52 612 161 2800, and that the bank account is in the name of Trip&homes. Bank details are given only through that number.
